A few Department stores around the world (most famously Berlin's KaDeWe) have managed to combine the selling of fresh food with great catering. Austria's Interspar is the first full range supermarket to repeat the experience.

Grab a selection of vegetables, some fish or meat then take them to one of the in-store chefs and let them cook your meal while you shop. Interspar is no ordinary Super/Hypermarket. In Austria they anchor the finest and most exclusive malls. JHP's design allows the brand's clear value based proposition to sit comfortably in a luxury setting. </description>

International restaurant chain Pret a Manger has thrived on selling fresh food, prepared on-site, to busy commuters and workers in high footfall locations.

But what could be done with the stores in-between very busy commuting hours was the challenge set.

JHP worked on subtle changes to the restaurant chains' interior environments based on research on customer insights and day-part activities, resulting in an environment that could sustain busy trading periods but also be considered for casual dine-in experiences</description>

Seoul Food

Distilling the very essence of the best Parisienne patisserie, and transporting East towards the hippest district in Seoul, South Korea, a country with no great 'bread culture' created a distinct challenge for JHP.

The answer lay in conceiving a space that was incredibly modern, with subtle references to our Gallic neighbours' royal legacy - the Louis XIV font, patisserie ponderings and palatial chandeliers.

JHP created every aspect of the brand including its identity, store architecture, interior environment, communication strategy, packaging, photographic suite, in-store movies and music playlists.</description>

Behind the red door

Following the launch of the new World Duty Free store in Heathrow Terminal 5, cosmeti’s giant Elizabeth Arden appointed JHP to work on the development of a new concept for its travel retail concessions.

The concession is divided into three zones based on the product categories on offer – ‘skincare’ ‘fragrance’ and ‘colour’ with internal illuminated colour changing blocks, super graphic branding, and the latest in high tech materials all feature to create an elegant and sleek environment.

Given the passenger profile expected to travel through Terminal 5, its using it’s presence to showcase innovation in skincare and new fragrance launches with ‘A’ list celebrities such as Catherine Zeta Jones and Britney Spears.

Myla is a sensual lifestyle brand designing and retailing lingerie, sleep-wear, swim-wear, beauty products and accessories.

Aiming to be the global lifestyle brand of choice for women who enjoy feeling sexy, beautiful and indulgent, the brand appointed JHP to create their first ever store concept.

Debuting as a concession in Harrods, the retailer has since expanded its store network to 12 boutiques and concessions. JHP created the flagship store (pictured) in the Designer Village in the 'Westfield London' shopping mall. The store had to sit effortlessly with its illustrious luxury retail neighbours, and deliver an experience that reflected the brand's desire to firmly establish Myla as the choice of chic, discerning women.... or the men who buy for them. </description>

World within a city

D Cube City is the ultimate mixed use development with retail, offices, luxury apartments, hotels, theatres and of course a vast shopping centre and department store. This is Seoul, so as ever the distinction between the latter two offers is hard to define. Suffice it to say Korea (and therefore the world) has never seen anything like it. 

JHP worked planned and design various key retail interior areas in D Cube City such as luxury accessories, cosmetics, fashion, young fashion and lifestyle, sports, kids world, the gourmet food area, the Korean food area and the World Street fair. 

JHP worked closely with the Jerde Partnership who were the lead architects and master-planners of the overall development.</description>

Oman, Scent and Sensibility

Luxury perfumery brand ‘Amouage’ is owned by the Omani Royal family. The perfume house set out ambitious plans to grow the brand globally and appointed JHP to design a new store concept to position itself as the first ‘International Arabic luxury’ brand

The store concept is a delicate blend of Arabian heritage, and modern simplicity, reminiscent of an Omani home of a sophisticated, international traveler.

The store opened in Muscat, the 'Riviera of the Middle East', and has been strategically rolled out across the Middle East and Europe, ever evolving to suit its location. </description>

ETUDE HOUSE
Girl, you'll be a woman soon

Pan Asian cosmetics retailer Etude House is the fun 'entry-point' for the late teens female interested in all things make-up.

With hundreds of stores in the Far East, the store concept had 'stretched' as it travelled, leaving it a little 'over-themed'.

JHP was brought in to re-model the store, and developed a 'doll's house concept' based on wishes coming absolutely true. The store is all about youth, girly fun, delicate femininity, and confidence.

As well as creating all aspects of the store concept, JHP developed visual merchandising principles, a new brand identity, uniforms and art directed the photo-shoots for their ATL and BTL campaigns.

This 'dolls house' looks set to stay. </description>

Point and Shoot

It is not often we receive such an ambitious brief but to be asked to create a colour brand to compete head to head with Bobbi Brown and Mac was certainly amongst our most challenging.

The brand 'Espoir' along with its first stand alone outlet has now been launched and is a huge success (we're afraid you'll have to be in the know to find the store).

JHP was responsible for then entire experience including brand identity, store environment, music playlists, staff uniforms, and launch campaign.

The concept is all about the glamour of the 'Stylist's secret wardrobe'.

Leighton Meester agreed to be the face of the brand and JHP chose to art direct the initial shoot in New York with legendary Hollywood photographer Mark Liddel. 

The store concept is being rolled out across South Korea and its 'internationalisation' is well underway.

Aritaum, which has been dubbed ‘Asia’s Sephora’ sell all their own health &#38; beauty and cosmetic products in a network of 1200 stores across Asia.

JHP developed a flagship store concept, as well as a series of different formats for their retail network.

JHP also developed the chain's complete VM campaign strategy and VM design for their key product lines.
