JHP was honoured by the prestigious 'US Retail Design Institute' this week in New York for its work with Asian retail groups Shinsegae Department Store, SPC Corporation and Liverpool Department Store in Mexico.
The design agency picked up joint 1st prize in the hotly contested 'New or Completely Renovated Department Store' category for the Uijeongbu branch of Shinsegae which was designed and launched in 2012. This category received submissions from design teams right across the globe.
Fortunately, Shinsegae Uijeongbu shared it's 1st place with another
one of JHP's clients, Mexican client Liverpool Department Store. The Interlomas store in Mexico City was designed by FRCH, with JHP designing the store's gourmet food hall on top floor, also shared the top place.
Building further on this success was an Award of Merit given for the practice's work with SPC Corporation and the design and development of 'The Parlour' - the upmarket bite size boutique cafe/restaurant which won the Specialty Food category.
A winning start to 2013.
